(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
