Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
