The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 Then afterward We drowned the others. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 surely your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 122
