The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
