We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
