T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 "Throw it down, O Moses," said (the Voice). 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
