Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
