Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Quran, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidences, and proofs), 2 you are truly among the Messengers, 3 On a straight path, 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 and We have put a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them up, so they are unable to see. 9 And it is alike to them whether you warn them or warn them not: they do not believe. 10 Thou only warnest him who follows the Remembrance and who fears the All-merciful in the Unseen; so give him the good tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 We shall surely bring the dead back to life and We record what they send ahead and what they leave behind. We have recorded everything in a clear book. 12
