Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
