The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 So he gathered the people, and proclaimed. 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
