Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
