Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after Hoarding (Al-Takaathur) before The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

HAST THOU ever considered [the kind of man] who gives the lie to all moral law? 1 Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness), 2 And urges not the feeding of AlMiskin (the poor), 3 So woe unto those performers of Salat (prayers) (hypocrites), 4 but whose hearts are not in their prayer. 5 Those who make a display (of their deeds). 6 Yet refuse small kindnesses! 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
