And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 So bring our ancestors back, if you are truthful." 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
