Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Are We then wearied with the first creation? Aye! they are in dubiety regarding a new creation. 15
