The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hath there come upon man (ever) any period of time in which he was a thing unremembered? 1 Verily We created man from a sperm yoked (to the ovum) to bring out his real substance, then gave him hearing and sight. 2 Verily We! We shewed him the way; then he becometh either thankful or ingrate. 3 Indeed, for the unbelievers We have prepared chains, fetters and a Blazing (Fire). 4 Verily, the Abrar (pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur. 5 A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth. 6 (Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading, 7 they give food, for the love of Him, to the needy, the orphan, the captive: 8 (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you; 9 We are afraid of our Lord and the bitterly distressful day". 10 So Allah will save them from the evil of that Day and has secured for them radiance and joyfulness, 11 and will reward them for all their patience in adversity with a garden [of bliss] and with [garments of] silk. 12 Reclining therein upon couches, they shall behold therein neither sun nor hurting cold. 13 near them shall be its shades, and its clusters hung meekly down, 14 And they will be waited upon with vessels of silver and goblets that will [seem to] be crystal 15 crystal-like, [but] of silver - the measure whereof they alone will determine. 16 They will drink cups containing (soft flowing) sparkling water 17 From a spring by the name of Ever-flowing-Salsabil. 18 ۞ They will be served by immortal youths who look like scattered pearls. 19 When you see them, you see bliss, and a great Kingdom. 20 they will wear green garments of fine silk and rich brocade. They will be adorned with silver bracelets. And their Lord will give them a pure drink. 21 "This in truth is your recompense, and acceptance of your endeavours." 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
