Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed there are signs for believers in the heavens and the earth. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. 5 These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe? 6 Alas the woe for every dissembling sinner 7 who hears Allah's Signs being rehearsed to him, and yet persists in his pride, as though he had not heard it. Announce to him, then, the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 8 And when he learns something of Our Verses (this Quran), he makes them a jest. For such there will be a humiliating torment. 9 There is Hell before them; and whatever they have earned will not avail them in the least, nor those whom they take as friends apart from God. There is great chastisement for them. 10 This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination. 11
