Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 By no means! When it cometh up to the collar-bone. 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
