AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 When they reached the confluence they forgot the fish (they had brought as food) which swiftly made its way into the sea. 61 And when they had gone further, he said to his assisting youth; 'Bring us our breakfast; we are worn out from our journey' 62 He said, 'What thinkest thou? When we took refuge in the rock, then I forgot the fish-and it was Satan himself that made me forget it so that I should not remember it -- and so it took its way into the sea in a manner marvellous.' 63 Said Moosa, “This is exactly what we wanted”; so they came back retracing their steps. 64 Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us. 65 Moses said to him: "May l follow you that you may teach me something of the wisdom which you have been taught?" 66 (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" 67 And how can you have patience for what you do not encompass in knowledge?" 68 Moses said, "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in any thing." 69 Said he, 'Then if thou followest me, question me not on anything until I myself introduce the mention of it to thee.' 70
