Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
