Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
