▼ 25 The Statute Book
Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Blessed is He who placed in the heavens constellations of stars, and placed a burning lamp in it and the luminous moon. 61 And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 They are those who spend the night worshipping their Lord, prostrating, and standing, 64 who say, "Our Lord, ward off from us the punishment of Hell, for its punishment is a dreadful torment to suffer. 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 and who never invoke any [imaginary] deity side by side with God, and do not take any human beings life - [the life] which God has willed to be sacred - otherwise than in [the pursuit of] justice, and do not commit adultery. And [know that] he who commits aught thereof shall [not only] meet with a full requital 68 doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection is his punishment, and therein he shall live, humbled, 69 Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 and who when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, they do not fall down deaf and blind. 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 Say (O Muhammad SAW to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable permanent punishment)." 77
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
