The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds - 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 The Master of the Day of Recompense. 4 Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help. 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 the path of those You have blessed; not of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
