And [remember] when you, [O Muhammad], left your family in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle [of Uhud] - and Allah is Hearing and Knowing - 121 Remember two of your parties Meditated cowardice; but Allah was their protector, and in Allah should the faithful (Ever) put their trust. 122 Allah indeed aided you at Badr when you had no means; so fear Allah – so that you may be thankful. 123 [And remember] when thou didst say unto the believers: "Is it not enough for you [to know] that your Sustainer will aid you with three thousand angels sent down [from on high]? 124 "Yea, - if ye remain firm, and act aright, even if the enemy should rush here on you in hot haste, your Lord would help you with five thousand angels Making a terrific onslaught. 125 and God ordained this only as good news for you so that your hearts might be comforted, help comes only from God, the Powerful, the Wise One, 126 (They are sent) to break the power of the unbelievers or disgrace them and make them return after having lost all hope." 127 You have no concern in the affair whether He turns to them (mercifully) or chastises them, for surely they are unjust. 128 And to Allah only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; He may forgive whomever He wills, and punish whomever He wills; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 129
