When Moses said to his (assisting) youth: 'I will not give up until I reach the point where the two seas meet even though I should go on for many years' 60 But when they came to the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, which made its way burrowing into the sea. 61 When they had passed on (some distance), Moses said to his attendant: "Bring us our early meal; truly we have suffered much fatigue at this (stage of) our journey." 62 He said: Didst thou see, when we took refuge on the rock, and I forgot the fish - and none but Satan caused me to forget to mention it - it took its way into the waters by a marvel. 63 Moses said, "That is just what we were looking for." So they went back the way they had come, 64 and they found one of Our servants to whom We had granted Our mercy and had given a knowledge from Ourself. 65 Moses said to him: "May I attend upon you that you may instruct me in the knowledge you have been taught of the right way?" 66 Said he, 'Assuredly thou wilt not be able to bear with me patiently. 67 How could you be patient in matters beyond your knowledge?" 68 He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter. 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
