And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 And [this divine writ is such a reminder:] no evil spirits have brought it down: 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
