Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
