Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
