The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ What are they asking (one another)? 1 Of the mighty Announcement, 2 That over which they are in disagreement. 3 Verily, they shall soon (come to) know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a place to rest 6 and the mountains as pegs (to anchor the earth)? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 and We made your sleep a rest, 9 made the night as a covering, 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 and We have set therein a glowing lamp. 13 And from the wind-driven clouds We send down waters pouring in abundance, 14 That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation 15 And gardens thick with trees. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Indeed, Gehenna (Hell) has become an ambush, 21 The rebels' abode, 22 They will remain in it for ages. 23 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink 24 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges. 25 a fitting requital, 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 However, We have recorded everything in a book. 29 [So We shall say], "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
