Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Sure Reality! 1 What is the Inevitable Calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the Reality is? 3 The Thamud and the 'Ad People (branded) as false the Stunning Calamity! 4 So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. 5 And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Do you see any vestige left of them now? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it. 12 So when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 On that day shall the great event come to pass, 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" 20 They will have a pleasant life 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 As for him whose Record will be given to him in his left hand, he will exclaim: “Would that I had never been given my Record, 25 and not known my reckoning! 26 Would it had been the end! 27 "My wealth has not availed me, 28 “All my power has vanished.” 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire. 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 “And did not urge to feed the needy.” 34 Today he shall have no loyal friend here, 35 and has no food except the filth from the washing of wounds, 36 which none but the sinners eat!" 37
