Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
