Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabun (those brought near to Allah), 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
