Hizb 46

And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
