The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
