Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
