Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
