Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
I swear by that which ye see. 38 and what you do not see 39 This Qur’an is the speech of Allah with a gracious Noble Messenger. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe. 41 Nor is this the speech of a soothsayer. Little do you reflect! 42 It has been sent down by the Lord of all the worlds. 43 Had he invented against Us any sayings, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 and none of you could have held Us off from him. 47 And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). 48 And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters. 49 And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers. 50 And indeed, it is the truth of certainty. 51 So glorify the name of your Lord Most Great. 52
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
