The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
