Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
