The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
