Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 When he ran away (like a slave from captivity) to the ship (fully) laden, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 and we glorify God". 166 What though they would say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
