The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
