Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that which ye are promised is true; 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Only those who are destined to revert, are reverted from it. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
