He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 And let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Surely You know us well." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
