(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
