Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
