The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
