▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 About the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
