1/2 Hizb 45

۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 “And stop them they are to be questioned.” 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay, but that Day they shall surrender, 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 He said: "By Allah! You have nearly ruined me. 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
