The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 he was created of gushing water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
