Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 and covered its night with darkness and brought forth from it its day; 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 A provision for you and for your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 34 The day when man remembers all that he had done, 35 And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,- 36 anyone who has acted arrogantly 37 And prefers the life of this world, 38 Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 To your Lord is the goal of it. 44 You are but a Herald of Warning, for one who fears it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
